A Brand New Beginning

Change is hard. But it's necessary. And inevitable. Our human nature often resists it but requires it as well. Every once in awhile, we are led down a radically different path that requires a breaking away from the past for a brand new beginning.

I find myself there ... in a brand new season. A season of change, particularly in my writing.

I started this blog in 2007 as a way to keep in touch with friends both near and far. Over time, it evolved and writing became more of an outlet for me. However, in the last few years, God has shown me that it's to be more than an outlet, it's an assignment... a calling.

In the seasons of {blog} silence, I have wrestled with God about what that would mean exactly. Around the turn of the year, I prayed for clarity about what that assignment would really look like and I somehow sensed God leading me in a brand new direction. One that requires a radically different path ... a writing path, that is. And He quickly began to shine light of the first couple steps of that path. I'll still be writing but my focus this season will be some offline projects.

So, I write to tell you that today will be my final post here at pressing on toward the goal. I am grateful for the years spent here in this space. God has met me in unique ways through my writing and many of you have encouraged me greatly through your comments and messages over the years.

I'll keep this blog online for now. When the time comes for a new blog (it's most definitely on the horizon), I'll be sure to send out an update.

Thank you, friends. You have blessed me more than you know.

"Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already arrived at my goal, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus."
- Philippians 3:12-14

With much love and gratitude...

pressing on toward the goal,

Excited to see where the Lord leads you and the opportunities He will provide, but I have missed your space here!
