Love & Marriage

Testimony Tuesday!

In light of it being Valentine’s Day, the testimony this Tuesday is about love – my parents' love. Steve and Alison Roth have been married for over 35 years. Though that should be the norm, unfortunately it’s not common to see people remain happily married for so long. God has blessed my parents. Their life is not perfect and it has not always been easy. They’ve experienced challenges in family, finances, ministry and overall life but they have persevered and stood firm on the promises of God. And their love for Jesus, for one another, for our family and for the body of Christ has been and continues to be an amazing testimony of God’s faithfulness – especially in a world filled with faithlessness...

I am thankful for my parents’ example of depending on the Lord and His love and how it’s spilled over into their marriage and their everyday life. They love with the love of the Bible – not the twisted counterfeit that is portrayed in the media and in our society. They know first hand that God is love. Mom and Dad’s love is truly a testimony of God’s goodness.

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails… And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.

Please feel free to share a testimony below!
