Layover to Kilimanjaro

I can’t believe March is halfway over. It’s been a busy month so far and will continue to be. Filled with lots of great things. I’ll be blogging less than I'd like to be over the next few months but after graduation (only 58 days away!!!), I hope to be back in the game. I have so many things stirring in my heart that I want to write about...

On October 25th, I wrote about my friend Shelly who was preparing for a mission trip to Africa with the ministry, Climbing for Christ. Well, the Lord provided all of the funds needed (and more!) and she left for Tanzania last week Monday. I was able to spend a few hours with her because she flew to JFK from Chicago and had a long layover before meeting up with her team. We had a wonderful time together. She had enough time to run home to see my parents, too. It was a special couple of hours which I am grateful for.

Climbing for Christ has updates on their site but my good friend Christen has also been updating her blog with Shelly’s itinerary, similar to how I did with my Dad’s trip to India. (I still need to post all the awesome info from his trip for you all to see … sorry for the delay!). Anyway, check out Christen’s blog if you’d like more info about Shelly’s trip. She posted that Shelly did summit Mt. Kilimanjaro already and they are on the way to Malawi for a week of Vacation Bible School at an orphanage. Please keep Shelly, her team and the children in your prayers. Believing God for another mountain top experience with those kids! I can't wait to hear about what the Lord did there!

Here’s a pic of dear Shelly and I at JFK. :-)
Love this girl!
