I was reminded today that it's been a year since my dear friend, Pia, went home to be with the Lord. Anyone who knew Pia loved her. She was so sweet and so loving. She had such joy and shined the love of Jesus. She had a smile that was contagious.

Pia was able to rejoice in the midst of her suffering. She took advantage of any moment she had to point to Jesus and give Him glory - even in her hospital bed.

Pia was a such a special friend - to me and to countless others. She rejoiced with those who rejoiced and mourned with those who mourned. She was a precious sister and a godly example. I thank God that He gave me those years of friendship. I'm thankful for all the wonderful memories I will always hold in my heart. I will never, ever forget her.

We miss her and we count the days since we've been with her. But now, she's in a place where time does not exist ... in a place with no heartache, no lymphoma, no tears and no pain ... eternity with Jesus. And we will see her again one day. Praise the Lord for the hope we have in Him.

And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God Himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And He that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And He said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. – Revelation 21:3-5
